Responsibilities
Tasks
- Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans
- Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and the patient’s outcomes
- Examine the behaviour
- Record observations
- Review reports from health care professionals to determine patients’ current and potential functioning levels
- Provide therapy
- Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment
- Implement treatment plans
- Analyze the patient during the treatments
- Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them
- Counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions
- Tend to emotional well-being of children
- Identify childrens’ individual learning needs
- Provide assistance to students with special needs
- Implement behaviour management programs
- Assist clients/guests with special needs
- Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients’ special needs
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Instruct students on behaviour, personal development
- Assess clients’ cognitive, social and emotional barriers to establish adaptation goals
